Catching public transport

Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school.

Catching a bus

Check Transport NSW’s trip planner (transportnsw.info) or a local app like Moovit or Google Maps for real-time times and the best route from your location. You can enter your start address and choose bus-only directions if you want to avoid trains.

Getting to and from school safely

As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.

Keep our school community safe by:

• driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
• being a good role model
• never calling your child from across the road
• using the safest place to cross the road.

For independent travellers

Talk to your high-school-aged child/children about travel safety including:

• walking to school safely
• starting high school safely
• public transport safety
• 7 reasons to actively travel to and from school
• wearing a helmet
• skateboarding safely

Subsidised school travel

Transport for NSW provides subsidies to assist school students.

• The School Student Transport Scheme provides eligible students with free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school.
• The School Drive Subsidy may help towards the costs of driving children to school if you live in an area where there is no public transport.

Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones
• follow speed signs
• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.

Parking on school grounds

School carparks are reserved strictly for staff only. Parents are not allowed to park their cars on school grounds. Please use street parking. Thank you.
