English study is mandatory in NSW from Kindergarten to Year 12.
As students progress through their schooling, they encounter increasingly complex ideas, language forms, and text types. Proficiency in English enables them to become:
- Confident communicators
- Critical and imaginative thinkers
- Lifelong learners
- Informed, active participants in Australian society
We believe the study of English should foster a love of literature and learning. Our programs challenge and inspire students, encouraging them to experiment with ideas and expression, work collaboratively, think independently, and reflect on their learning.
In Year 11 and 12, the study of English is mandatory. Courses offered include:
- English Standard
- English Studies
- English Life Skills.
