Birrong Boys High is a highly diverse multicultural school. It welcomes and supports our overseas students completing their Australian education with us.
 
Birrong provides an environment in which students can strive for excellence through a variety of learning experiences specific to the NSW Board of Studies.

Birrong has extensive facilities and support staff to assist our international students learning. These include:

English as an additional language or dialect

  • English as an additional language or dialect (EAL/D) support provided through parallel classes and team-teaching across all years
  • Targeted classes for EAL/D students
  • HSC tutorials
  • After school homework centre

Student support services

  • A literacy support team
  • Counsellor and student well-being team focused on student welfare
  • After-school homework centre with free tutoring by university graduates.

Special facilities

  • Modern well-equipped and resourced library with access to online services. A librarian who is available for help with developing students research and learning literacy skills
  • Modern sport facilities including multipurpose outdoor and indoor courts and a fitness studio
  • Music, Art and Hospitality facilities
  • Classrooms equipped with smart boards and wireless internet
